Rand-Air supplies 20 000 cfm to local mine during an emergency
A local mine had a catastrophic breakdown of their centrifugal compressor in June and required 20 000 Cfm. They contacted Rand-Air Specialty Rental to assist with portable compressors. We provided a mix of diesel and electrical driven compressors from the XAS and GA Range to assist with 16500 Cfm. We also arranged transport for the 18 compressors to site, as well as technicians to assist with offloading and commissioning. This team effort ensured that the mine could continue production. This 2 week hire turned into a 3 month hire, during which time the Rand-Air service department assisted on-site and ensured the mine could continue operating

They called Rand-Air to provide temporary lighting to ensure the safety of their staff onsite while removing a vehicle that had ended in a ravine.
